Friday I leave for 3 day of Quilt Retreat. 6 of us are going to The Pilgrim Center on Green Lake. It's a beautiful place. I'm looking forward to being there in the winter. My guild usually has their retreat there in the fall. Either time it is always beautiful and everyone there loves it when "the quilters" come. The food is also very good.. It's nice when you don't have to cook!
February 24th is the Winter Quilt show at Washington County Fair. I hope to get there. There is a lot of work to putting on one of these shows.. So if you can get out there and view the beautiful quilts. And leave your checkbook at home if you don't want to spend money at the vendor booths. ( I just take cash) :)
March is going to come in like a Lion. I have pretty much just a normal schedule in March. Hopeing to make my first trek in a long time up north.
I joined a photography group. Unlimited Vision. They meet twice a month in Waukesha. I'm so excited to learn more about photography * the right way * I took this photo of a Red Tail Hawk the other day. It was in the tree across the street when I came home from work.
April brings one of my favorite Quilt Retreats. Ben Franklin Crafts in Ocomowoc sponsors a retreat to Osthoff Resort. It's a beautiful place. Spacious for quilting or Scrapbooking. Theres a nice pool that we love to enjoy. I have been blessed with so many good friends to go on these retreats with.
From what I heard there are a few spots left. Check it out.
After Quilt Retreat I will be gearing up to go visit my parents and my sister in Arizona. To be honest that can't come soon enough. I'm anxious to see mom. I love Arizona!! Not to live there but, I will always be visiting. I loved the hiking in the White Tank. Dad has a really nice house. My sister's house and my dad's house back yards meet. It's such a different environment than Wisconsin. Again I am so blessed to have my parents. Mom just turned 90 and dad will be 98 in 4 days. He golfs 3 times a week. I don't think he would have been able to do that if he stayed here for the winter. God bless them!!
